As I said previously, I am having a serious health kick! I mentioned the detox but it has now evolved; I want to get in good shape and as I am not getting any younger nor am I blessed with skinny genes; I need to exercise!!
On Friday night I went shopping with hubby who wanted to buy some running trainers and a kit to train in. Saturday morning we got up while it was still dark and while most people were doing the 'walk of shame' home and we ran. We had planned our route and just ran a mile to ease ourselves into the new routine. It was definitely enough for me! I woke up today feeling rough so didn't run this time but my husband did. I wanted to but had to take it easy as do not want to get ill! We are getting up earlier to run tomorrow morning though. Doing it first thing in the morning is the best thing as it gets it over and done with and sets you up for the day - most people can't face exercise after work especially if you have had a bad day! Doing it first thing means it is out of the way and you don't have to worry about what the day throws at you.
I am glad my hubby has decided to run too as I have attempted it a couple of times recently but feel I need someone to encourage me and for me to encourage.
I am not terribly overweight just out of shape as my 'before' picture below shows. I do hope I will be sharing an after photo with you very soon!! That is the plan....
